A meeting under the chairmanship of Mr. Riaz Fatyana MNA & Chairman PCHR was held at Islamabad Secretariat, Ms. Kashmala Tariq MNA, Executive Director PCHR, Mr. Mujeeb  Pirzada MNA, Mr. Shafique Chaudhry Chief Coordinator PCHR & Dr. Rana M. Shamim, Advocate Supreme Court and Associate Member of PCHR attending the meeting.

 

During the meeting various aspects of human rights issues and its violations in the country were discussed generally and for Sindh province particularly. In the meeting jail reforms were also discussed and it was decided that a delegation of PCHR members shall visit different jails in the province of Sindh. The purpose of such visits would be to collect information & problems of prisoners in jails and its solutions there too. Delegation will prepare a detailed report for presentation in the forthcoming meeting of PCHR.

 

Mr. Dr. Rana M. Shamim Advocate Supreme Court would co-ordinate with the Home Department Government of Sindh & prisons chiefs for such visits.
