PCHR congratulate Kashmala Tariq on her election

as Chairperson of CWP

          

 

Chairman and executive members of Parliamentarians Commission for Human Rights, Pakistan have congratulated MNA Kashmala Tariq on her election as Chairperson, Commonwealth Women Parliamentarians. Kashmala Tariq, who is also Executive Director of PCHR, won the election of Commonwealth Women Parliamentarians in India by defeating other candidates from Canada, Australia and Domincan Republic.  Before this she was Vice Chairperson of CWP. She is first ever woman from Pakistan who has been elected at the prestigious post of Chairperson of CWP. Executive Members of PCHR including Mr. Riaz Fatyana MNA, Khawaja Saad Rafique MNA, Dr.G.G Jamal Federal Minister Culture, Mr. Abdul Mujeeb Pirzada MNA, Mrs Riffat Javed Kahlon MNA, and Chief Coordinator PCHR Shafique Chaudhry lauded her services for promotion and protection of human rights and democracy.  They said that this is in fact victory of Pakistan and it is matter of pleasure and proud for the whole nation of Pakistan .They said that this is acknowledgement of Kashmala’s struggle and commitment with the cause of women rights.
