On 18th December, 2019 Parliamentarians Commission for Human Rights (PCHR) in collaboration with National Parliamentary Task force on SDGs, PJN and UNESCO under the Honourable MPA Ms. Bushra Rind Member Provincial Parliamentary Task force on SDGs Balochistan and Adviser to Chief Minister organized consultation on “establishing integrated coordination, reporting, and monitoring mechanism on SDG Target 16.10.1 Freedom of Expression and Safety of Journalist” at Committee Room, Provincial Assembly.
During the consultation large number of parliamentarians (Provincial Parliamentary SDGs Task force Members), Secretary and Additional Secretary Balochistan Assembly, Directorate General of Public Relations, Ombudsman Secretariat, Planning & Development Department, Balochistan SDGs Unit, Education Department, Information Department, Social Welfare Department, Lawyers, Media and Civil Society Representatives shared their views for ensuring freed of expression in Pakistan as part of constitutional obligation and as sustainable development agenda of Pakistan.
